US-55810
This came from JdTall she accidentally sent two cards, the lighthouse was supposed to be bound for Finland. However it is my favorite of the two cards. I am not a Kennedy fan, way before my time. I love the fact that she used stamps that equal the 28 cents instead of the traditional polar bear like I do when sending card to fellow Americans.

This card of a lady bug and a flower comes from Poland and was sent by bashi. She tells me that she lives with her family and is in her third year of studies in "landscape architecture" she is earning a degree to become a garden designer. Well I wish bashi all the best of luck in her dream. according to bashi  the words on the postcard loosely translate to Love is similar a sun. When you are in love, life gets bright, warm and beautiful. How beautiful and poetic.

This card form vikutelia shows the tree at the town hall in Kaunas, Lithuania. It was my first Christmas postcard showing a real tree. The stamps were of little birds with the WWF logo (World Wildlife Fund) and a church.

Back from Cali

Upon returning today I had five postcards awaiting for me to register on postcrossing. The following five cards are what came in mail box while I was gone.

This card came today from India, from jacquesINDIA, an a teacher at an American School. He wrote my name in the native language I loved it. The stamp was an American 28 cent polar bear which is very interesting to me, he states on his profile that many of his cards never made to their destination so he has to send his cards through the US Consular Postal System.

This card came today from Plain Jane in New Glarus, Wisconsin. She states that her town is flooded by tourist who go hunting through the town to photograph these cows. There are 16 in their town that were painted by local artists. If you all remember these type of cows were made popular by the cows on parade exhibit in Chicago. Ironically we have a cow right here where I live in Henderson, Nevada inside a local library.

The beginning

I have been getting postcards for the last year from Postcrossing.com and I love it so much that I thought I'd share with others my mail. I have several accounts that I will pull from my daughters, the families, mine and occasionally my classes too. I hope to blog about what came in the mail everyday. However on days no mail comes I will show some of my favorite cards in my collection.
